Hello tumblers! All uniforms and costumes have been ordered and are on the way! I am happy to announce that registration is full! Thank you Deer Lodge for being so wonderful and supportive. I look forward to everything that is to come.
Watch for the announcement about our summer courses. I have clinics planned and a full summer program possibly available. Give me a shout and let me know what you are interested in so I can make it available for you.
Good news! An adult stretching and core training class is coming soon. Call or email now to reserve your spot!
Interested in dance classes next fall? Let me know and I may start adding dance classes to Velocity’s curriculum.

Costume Ordering

Sorry about the lag in updates lately! My computer has been on the fritz. So this month we have been progressing through our handstands, bridges, and flexibility. Thanks to a great article in the paper we have had more registrations and I would like to welcome our new tumblers. I am excited to have you! January will be the last month for open registration so that we can progress with our recital in early June; because of all the new registration we probably won’t be able to perform at basketball halftimes this year. Time is coming to order our costumes which we are going to keep fairly simple this year to reduce cost. Please be prepared to pay around $45 in the next two weeks or so for each child’s costume.
I am considering opening daytime playgroups and adult exercise classes. If there is any interest in these options please let me know so that we can plan them by February. Happy tumbling!

Week 3

Another amazing day of class! I love doing this! Two of our older girls are working on handsprings and several are up to roundoffs. Our younger ones are learning to follow directions, recognize preposition placement, strengthen their muscles, and increase their flexiblity. Each class has done drills and progressions through the last three weeks and enjoyed the obstacle courses! All students have been asked to work on their splits-right, left, and middle- and their bridges/backbends. Please encourage your kids to do this in a safe environment with an adult nearby. Next week there will not be any classes. Have a happy Thanksgiving!

New Classes!

Wow, thanks Deer Lodge for coming out last night for our Information and Registration meeting! I was so happy to meet everyone! Because of the results of registration we have a few changes to the classes and times. We have opened a boys only class! Our Dragon Tumblers will have Thursday class from 4-4:50pm. We have combined a few of the older classes resulting in the Velocity Tumbling and Velocity Cheerleading classes to both be Thursday 5-5:50pm. REGISTRATION WILL BE OPEN FOR TWO MORE WEEKS. If you have friends that missed it let them know and we can still add them. Remember, classes start today! See you soon!

Grand Opening

Welcome to the grand opening of Velocity Tumbling & Cheer!

I am excited to be in the Deer Lodge community, and can’t wait to get started.  Registration is available by request through my email actfam@hotmail.com and also at the Information meeting November 2, 2011 at 7pm at our new location 504 Main st.  There are several classes available; I hope you can find just the right class.  If you can’t find what you need feel free to request.  At this early stage classes will be made available depending on interest.  We plan to get started November 3, 2011 so get your registrations in as soon as possible.  We will be performing at Warden basketball halftimes and a year end recital.  Invite your friends and family to watch your stars perform!

Boys are encouraged to register!  It can hone their early coordination and strength.  Tumbling is an excellent skill for males-and gives them plenty of bragging rights when they can do a backtuck after winning the big game!
